The heavy-duty binding posts are good for easy termination.  A through-hole in the shaft allows the easy feed-through of connecting wires, clamping it with a twist of the knurled and threaded plastic head.
The binding posts can accommodate a 4mm banana jack, together with the wire in the shaft.

The output voltage can precisely be adjusted to the value that keeps a standby-battery in a well charged, ready state. The maximal charge current will, in case of a fully discharged battery, not exceed the rated value of the power supply.
